Educational Content

The primary reason for healthcare systems and IDNs to attend the 2012 Fall IDN Summit is to gain knowledge of proven working models and insight on innovative ideas for strategic contracting strategies, supply chain optimization, operational effectiveness and clinical improvements.

With continued demands for greater efficiency and growing focus on cost-cutting measures, it becomes even more critical to identify cost reduction solutions, gain insight into building more sustainable models and processes, and seek out opportunities for stronger strategic partnerships.

Our educational content is developed by health system executives and industry thought leaders who serve on the IDN Summit's Education Advisory Board. The educational offering is designed to provide a forum of idea sharing and strategic guidance for health systems and IDNs. Consisting of five, in-depth tracks, each is comprised of multiple sessions, allowing healthcare professionals the option to tailor their educational experience to best fit their individual needs.

It is particularly vital in the current atmosphere of change for health systems and IDNs to stay abreast of emerging trends, analyze impacts of Healthcare Reform provisions, and learn of breakthrough models and processes for improving efficiency and achieving success.

Earn Continuing Education Credits

For healthcare executives with professional designations, it is important to maximize your time by choosing education events that will provide Continuing Education credits to maintain your credentials. To further meet those needs, the Spring IDN Summit conference will offer Continuing Education (CE) contact hours for healthcare professionals through Inquisit. CE is available for healthcare professionals wishing to earn ACHE Cat II, ISM, NASBA, HIMSS, ACPE, and ANCC contact hours. ISM CE is applicable toward not only ISM's Certified Professionals in Supply Management® (CPSM®) Program and ISM's Certified Purchasing Manager Program (C.P.M.) but for other association certifications such as AHRMM/AHA's Certified Materials Resource Professional C.M.R.P. renewal.

Develop Partnerships

The Fall IDN Summit features the Reverse Expo, where health system executives host exhibit booths to interact with attending supplier partners and discuss their system's needs. It is the first step in forging lasting partnerships that drive savings and higher quality patient care.

In the healthcare industry, it is almost impossible to keep up with all the emerging technologies, and innovative product and service offerings.  Because most health system executives become bogged down and overworked by their day-to-day responsibilities, they simply do not have the time nor the resources to educate themselves on all the products and services available in the marketplace.

But in just a few short hours at the Reverse Expo, purchasing executives will be able to do just that. It is not uncommon to hear about a new business partnership that developed as a result of exhibiting at the IDN Summit. Health systems that have taken part in the Summit come to truly understand the value in utilizing their participation for securing new business relationships and growing existing ones. For this reason, they participate year after year.

IDN Summit works to foster supply chain winners. To be a true supply chain champion, it is vital to stay abreast of innovations, learn from your peers, and network with other supply chain stakeholders. A positive change in healthcare can only happen if all stakeholders come together with the common goals of driving down costs and raising the bar on patient care.

Non-exhibitor Program

The Reverse Expo offers exceptional opportunity for networking and relationship building, but for healthcare executives who want to participate in the IDN Summit but not exhibit, we've put together a program just for you. You can attend and strengthen your professional development without exhibiting. You'll qualify for CE Hours and attend all conference sessions for one low price. Register for the IDN Summit and pay only $495 per person.
