Why should I attend?

If you are a healthcare system senior executive, you will glean strategic insight and information you can use now to impact your healthcare system. You will have the opportunity to interact with your peers and other industry leaders through the IDN Summit's unique educational program featuring case studies, panel discussions, and presentations. You will also benefit from the networking atmosphere of special events and informal meetings found throughout the Summit, allowing you to develop and nurture important working relationships with your industry colleagues and supplier partners.

If you are a supplier, distributor or GPO, you will save time and resources through your participation in the IDN Summit's Reverse Expo, which will provide you the opportunity to initiate new business partnerships and strengthen existing ones with health purchasing decision makers who are actively interested in connecting with supplier companies. As the originator of the reverse expo concept, the IDN Summit is unmatched in offering you the most efficient and effective way to meet with hundreds of senior healthcare executives representing billions of dollars in healthcare expenditures—all at one time and in one neutral location. See the IDN Summit guarantee for additional assurance. You will also get an unparalleled opportunity to learn details of the challenges facing senior purchasing executives, allowing you to strategize and develop shared opportunities to better partner with them to meet their goals. You will participate with senior executives of IDNs, healthcare systems, GPOs and other suppliers in conference sessions designed to foster peer learning with presentations and interactive panel discussions led by industry experts and knowledge leaders. You will participate in intensive education sessions that will provide you key insights into selling products and services to healthcare systems and IDNs.

What is the Reverse Expo?

Unlike a traditional trade show, the IDN Summit's Reverse Expo features healthcare purchase-decision makers (e.g. VP Supply Chain, Director of Materials Management) staffing booths hosting their GPO and supplier partners. This format provides a unique opportunity for all parties to effectively and efficiently use their time and resources. IDN Summit's Reverse Expo concept is fostered by building a strong network of trusted partnerships to improve the entire healthcare supply chain. These collaborative partnerships play an integral role in assisting healthcare systems with delivering quality patient care while achieving bottom-line financial improvements. From a cost standpoint, the IDN Summit and Reverse Expo offers great cost-cutting opportunities for suppliers and GPOs by saving time and travel expenses compared to traveling to individual hospital and healthcare systems.

What time can I enter the expo hall the day of the Reverse Expo?

You can start networking with healthcare system executives promptly at 2:00 pm. The expo hall closes at 5:30 pm, giving you a full 3 ½ hours of networking time with these important decision makers. If you are interested in taking advantage of sponsor access into the exhibit hall at 1:30 pm, allowing you and your team an extra 30 minutes of valuable networking time with little or no waiting lines, please contact Josh Morita or La Shawn Fugate about sponsorship opportunities. There are several additional opportunities for networking during the 2 1/2 days of the IDN Summit, from receptions to conference sessions to meal functions, that will allow you to build on your Reverse Expo experience.

How can I make the best use of my time in the expo hall?

One of the best ways to make the most of your time inside the expo hall is to make the most of your time before you even enter it. In other words, come to the IDN Summit and Reverse Expo prepared to use your time efficiently by doing your homework. Utilize information gleaned from the IDN Summit's weekly emails, regularly review the healthcare system data available from the IDN website and visit the individual websites linked from the list of healthcare systems registered for the IDN Summit. IDN Summit provides a lot of tools to help you prepare, but it will still take some work on your part to sufficiently background yourself on the healthcare systems you intend to visit during your time in the Reverse Expo. In addition to learning all you can about the systems you plan to visit, be prepared to efficiently and effectively use your face-to-face time with these decision makers to grab their attention in a positive way, setting the foundation for a mutually beneficial partnership or further supporting an existing business relationship. Expect to face long lines, so studying the map of the expo floor and formulating your plan ahead of time is essential.

What is the attire?

The event is business casual. Phoenix temperatures are generally in the low 90’s in mid-September. Most events are indoors.

I'm a first-time attendee. How should I prepare for my IDN Summit and Reverse Expo experience?

The most important thing you can do is to make sure you talk with your contact person at Healthcare Business Media prior to the event. They can walk you through the entire IDN Summit to make sure you have the best possible experience. First-time attendee healthcare executives should contact Lisa Ponssa at 859.309.6725. GPO and suppliers attending for the first time should contact La Shawn Fugate at 859.523.5701 or Josh Morita at 859.523.5701. IDN Summit also offers a First-Time Attendee Lunch to provide you an overview of the IDN Summit and answer any questions. Registration is required and more information is available on the IDN Summit website as the event draws nearer.
